Review:

SO rare is it for me to find a book that I connect to as deeply as I did with JoyFULL by Radhi Devlukia Shetty. Her shinning personality is the catalyst for gorgeous recipes and even more meaningful guidance on how to live a balanced life.

Take it from Auntie, this is a book of gifts.

My first gift from this book was learning the Ayurvedic cycle of the day, moving between Kapha, Pitta, and Vata in rotation, and what those stages of the day mean. I dove into Ayurveda after I read this book and am inspired by the teachings I’ve read so far. I’m breathing, meditating, doing everything mindfully!

The second gift I received from Radhi’s book was learning what drinking cold and iced water was doing to my body. I always knew I preferred room temp or warm water, but felt like a weirdo. Now I’m seeing the benefits to my gut and digestion and I understand why this small but powerful change is internally supportive.

Finally, I took inspiration from every recipe in her book. I dont think my kitchen has ever smelled so good, now that I’ve updated my spice cabinet, and started drinking her CCF Detox tea. I made an ahhhmmmaaaaazzzzzing Daal and have started eating earlier, so my body isn’t in the depth of digestion while it’s trying to get restorative sleep.

Ultimately, I feel like Radhi is a close friend who is offering her readers an inside look into her day to day life. Many know her husband’s podcast, as it’s one of the top wellness podcasts in the world, but this book marks a clear casting off for Radhi as a wellness influencer in her own right.

Now don’t mind me, Auntie is off to make a Moon Milk and start her evening routine.
